Duncarron is the complete reproduction of a fortified village from the early middle ages of Scotland. It is a reconstruction of a typical residence of a Scottish Clan Chief from the early part of the last millennium. The Village offers living history events as a way for children and adults alike to experience hands-on Scottish history and culture through entertainment.
Located near Denny in Central Scotland, the 20-acre site has been built by a team of volunteers who have planted more than 5000 tree-sized wooden posts to create the palisade. Along with this a lookout tower, 2 large longhouses, 2 short houses and much more all built using traditional medieval construction skills such as wooden dowels and pegs.
Film & TV-related attractions include a bastion structure from the TV series Outlander, a working trebuchet from Netflix’s Outlaw King and the battering ram from Ridley Scott’s blockbuster film Robin Hood. The battering ram was kindly donated by Russel Crowe as well as an incredible collection of authentic replica weapons, costumes and equipment.
Outside the scheduled public events, Duncarron can be hired as a Film &TV location, a venue for corporate events, team building, weddings, birthdays and much more.

- Duncarron is open every day from 10am to 5:30pm with last entry at 3:30pm.
