Palacerigg Country Park is located in the hills to the south of Cumbernauld. The land was planted in the early 1970’s with hundreds of thousands of native trees and shrubs to provide a sheltered environment for wildlife, including roe deer, badgers, foxes and hares and sparrowhawks, kestrels and owls. Visitors can enjoy the surroundings and walk the 10 km network of paths and trails.
