Drumpellier Park is part of the seven lochs wetland park and has lots of facilities and trails including: visitor centre and café and the Crannog adventure playground.
Wildlife at Drumpellier
The park covers 500 acres of moorland, grasslands, woodland and two natural lochs which attract a large number of water birds and large and small mammals and variety of wildflowers. You can spend time on the network of paths and picnic sites and playing on the crannog, fully inclusive play park themed around an iron-age crannog, a traditional dwelling house constructed on stilts over water.
Walking and Cycling
Visitors can also walk or cycle round the loch, or take the route along the Monkland Canal to Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Heritage.
